Jazz Hostels is seeking an intern to join our team and assist with a variety of company-wide marketing projects.

The fast-paced office at this expanding company provides an incredible hands-on opportunity to students interested in marketing, international travel, graphic and web design.

Working alongside the Managing Director, the Marketing Intern participates in all facets of Jazz Hostels marketing strategy.

This is a highly creative opportunity, coupled together with the chance to work in the areas of special events and customer service.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

*Creating in-house informational materials, coupons, and flyers provided to guests upon check-in

*Assisting with the design of far-reaching marketing materials such as hostel flyers, brochures, additional website pages, print advertising, etc.

*Regularly researching and tracking Jazz HostelsЎ¦ online presence on sites such as Youtube, Hostelworld, etc.

*Maintaining Jazz HostelsЎ¦ online presence, including regularly contributing to Jazz HostelsЎ¦ website, facebook, myspace, and blog pages.

*Creating an online photo gallery of staff, guests, and properties for use in marketing materials.

*Updating Jazz content on 3rd party websites

*Developing and maintaining a special events calendar, and posting daily events on Jazz HostelsЎ¦ online calendar.

*Assisting in the design and production of Jazz HostelsЎ¦ merchandise.

*Assisting with annual mass mailings of marketing materials

QUALIFICATIONS:

*The Marketing Intern at Jazz Hostels should possess exceptional oral and written communication skills and should be enthusiastic about international travel and interacting with diverse personalities on a daily basis.

*Fluency in English (oral and written), computer proficiency, and attention to detail are a must. Additional qualifications include:

*A positive, people-oriented attitude and a sense of humor

*Ability to effectively manage time and multiple projects at once under minimal supervision

*Knowledge of graphic design programs including Adobe Creative Suite

*Proven organizational skills and a respect for deadlines

NOTE:

Internships are available on a 6 month basis and can be extended up to a year.

This marketing opportunity has tremendous growth potential within the company.

COMPENSATION:

*Bi-weekly stipend

*Free Monthly Metrocard

*Jazz Hostels will provide your University / College with internship details / plan in order for you to receive college credit (if applicable)

*If needed, housing can be provided (shared housing) in one of our NYC hostels
